Kaitlyn is a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner who obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Kaitlyn’s experience as a school social worker developed her passion and expertise in working with children and their families. As a practitioner, Kaitlyn stays on top of the most recent developments in treatment for her clients, but some of her favorite techniques include using expressive arts, writing and story telling (Narrative Therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (working on thoughts and feelings and how they change our mood), and integrating play into the skills taught in the therapy room are some of Kaitlyn’s favorite techniques. Kaitlyn is trained in the use of Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She also holds training in cutting edge treatment Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.)

Kaitlyn works first by highlighting the strengths of every child, teen or family she meets while working towards alleviating their concerns. Kaitlyn enjoys helping clients realize their in order to make strides in their mental and physical health. Kaitlyn understands the need for a holistic approach to helping youth, by including their school, family and other supporters in the treatment approach.
