Katie is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) and completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Katie has experience working with older teens and adults of all ages who are navigating life transitions. She approaches therapy with validation and clear communication to ensure clients are seen and heard in the experiences they bring to the therapy room. She believes in walking alongside clients to find meaning and understanding in life. Katie feels that her role as your counselor is to be encouraging, validating, and nonjudgmental - and give you techniques to reach for when life feels overwhelming. She also enjoys supporting LGBTQ+ folks in therapy.
Katie operates from an existential framework, which means helping you increase your inherent self-worth and value as a person along with increasing the meaning and value in your life. Katie also holds training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
